Our Services

We serve the community through direct services, education, partnerships and advocacy.

Our Goals

Unitedly serves as a “one-stop” hub organization that members of Asian communities can rely on for linguistically and culturally appropriate services.

Unitedly collects meaningful data on the needs of Asian residents to amplify their voices and partner with them to advocate for community-centered solutions and policies.

  • “I cannot find a mental health therapist or doctor who speaks Chinese languages. My daughter has to translate for me, but I do not feel comfortable sharing my medical concerns through her. I don’t want to worry her.”

  • “I am a Family Child Care Provider caring for kids the best way I can and struggling to make a living for my own family. Because COVID-19 relief resources were not available in my language, I did not have the opportunity to access them. I worry that I may have to close my family child care business.”

  • “I was eligible for food stamps, but I don’t know how to activate my benefit card and which stores accepted it because the information is in English. When I tried to call the number for help, I couldn’t speak to the representative because I don’t speak English. I need food stamps to survive, so I traveled to every store to see if I can use it. I am in my late 70s and disabled and it was very humiliating for me.”

  • “I am disabled. I don’t have access to the internet and I don’t know how to use a computer and cannot participate in virtual mental health and medical appointments, like others.”

  • “I was so nervous to receive my COVID shots because I didn’t know what they were injecting in me and I wasn’t able to ask questions because of the language barrier and lack of resources in Chinese.”

  • “I am afraid to go out because I don’t speak English and because of Asian Hate crimes. If something was to happen to me, I would not know how to report it or ask for help.”

  • “I cannot participate in community surveys or focus groups because the information is not available in Chinese. I hear about it after when the results are released and it’s not reflective of my experience and need.”

  • “I have no sense of belonging in my community.”

Community Services

● We are in Asian communities to listen, understand, and then to actively elevate those learnings by sharing widely with the general public and bringing them directly to policymakers to bridge gaps and develop meaningful systems and practices.

● We guide and support Asian families with training and technical assistance, translation services, and connections to referrals for support in areas such as mental health, legal services, early education, and health.

Education

We foster understanding and share knowledge to develop leaders and transform communities.

Partnerships

We collaborate with residents and other organizations to share resources and build coalitions to amplify the voices of Asian families and provide culturally responsive resources to our partners.

Advocacy

We highlight issues and work with communities to advocate for effective policies that impact and advance Asian communities.
